You can't communicate: You cannot talk to the other players in the supply chain. You only see the orders you receive from your direct customer.
Delays are real: There is a 2-week delay for orders to travel up the chain and another 2-week delay for shipments to travel down. You must account for this 4-week lead time!
Costs are everything: Inventory Cost: $0.50 per unit per week. Backlog (Out of Stock) Cost: $1.00 per unit per week.
